After watching Kacie B. and Tierra self destruct last week, I can only imagine what's in store for tonight.
The episode begins with Sean in his underwear. Good lord! Is it warm in here?
Chris Harrison greets the girls with the first date card and it's for Selma. Leslie H. cries in her confessional because she didn't get the one on one. Really?
Selma is a bit over excited for her date with Sean. He takes her in a limo to a private plane which brings them to Joshua Tree National Park. She is less than thrilled. She pouts, "I got the limo, I got the jet and then he took me, the Iraqi, to the desert."
After they reached the peak and enjoyed the view, they got dressed up for dinner and Sean took Selma to a mini RV park with themed trailers. Clearly created by "The Bachelor," but still cute. During their snuggle time Selma talks about being born in Baghdad and growing up in a Muslim family. She tells Sean she can't kiss him, it would be disrespectful to her parents. Oh boy.
If I were Sean, I don't know that I'd keep her around. It's pretty hard to move forward with someone with zero component to your relationship, especially when you have that with other girls. Also, if Selma's parents have a hard time with her kissing someone because of their culture, it's also possible they will have a hard time with Sean not being Muslim.
Despite her ban on kissing, Sean asks her, "Selma, will you accept my rose?" He didn't say "the rose" he said "my rose." Interesting.
The group date this week is Lindsay, Robyn, Jackie, Catherine, Amanda, AshLee, Sarah and Tierra. The girls have been put to the roller derby challenge.
Realizing that maybe this wasn't the best (or safest idea), Sean calls off the roller derby match and tells the ladies they are just going to free skate.
During the evening part of the group date Tierra starts to combust again. She starts freaking out and asking the producers if she can leave. Meanwhile, Sean is making out with Lindsay and they're putting on their bathingsuits to hop into the hot tub.
Sean looks happy as a clam in his swim trunks when he almost walks into Tierra. She looks like an evil comic book character, lurking there in the dark, wearing all black.
Why does Sean like Tierra? Why does he give her the rose? If I were one of the other girls on that date I'd go ape shit.
Leslie H.'s Date
Leslie H. finally gets her wish and a date card comes with her name on it. It also comes with a pair of diamond earrings! Every girl in America immediately picked up on the "Pretty Woman" vibe.
She puts on a tuxedo and when Leslie comes out fully dolled up, he takes her hand and twirls her around. Cute.
Over dinner Leslie admits that she's a "good luck Chuck" and that many of her exes got married right after they left her. Ouch.
A few minutes into the dinner portion of the date you could tell Sean wasn't feeling it. I started to feel very badly for Leslie. The first dump is always the worst!
Sean does tell Leslie he's "just not that into her" and the awkwardness that followed when she ha to give back the necklace was painful to watch.
I bet you she never watches "Pretty Woman" again.
At the cocktail party AshLee and Sean have a cute one on one. Sean tells the camera that he likes that, "She doesn't let the other girls get to her. I love that about her." See people! What have I been saying? Focus on the man, not the other girls.
Next up, Robyn tries her best pick up line on Sean. She even brought props! Cheesy as it was, it got her a first kiss.
Sean has more time with Tierra and he admits to the camera that she needs more reassurance than anyone else in the house. Not exactly a compliment.
Sean's last tryst is with Catherine. He says to her coyly, "I hope you're not putting me in the friend zone." Foreshadowing?
Selma and Tierra already have roses. The remaining red blooms go to, in this order:
Catherine - In honor of the first kiss! Cute.
Lesley M. - Looking particularly vampy!
Robyn - The pick up line worked!
Wow! Amanda gets the boot. I have to say, I am surprised.
In previews for next week we learn "The Bachelor" will be on both Monday and Tuesday night! Bonus! It looks like it will be a double dose of the Tierra Show.
After this week, who do you think are the front runners?
